About the Tool

Discover how true character encoding enables formatted text across any platform without relying on heavy text editors or images.

Our Mission

Subscript Generator provides a clean, fast, and completely free utility for students, researchers, developers, and creators who need subscript or superscript text in environments where traditional rich-text formatting is unavailable.

Minimal friction, instant character conversion, 100% client-side privacy, and mobile-friendly usability.

Unicode Character Mapping

When you type in a normal text box, your browser handles characters according to the Unicode Consortium standard.

Our tool maps standard Latin characters directly to their distinct Unicode code points (e.g. mapping small letter e to Unicode U+2091 (ₑ)).

Why Some Letters Don't Convert

Letters like b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y, z do not change when converted to subscript mode because the Unicode Consortium never allocated subscript code points for them.

Digits 0–9 and letters a, e, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t, u, v, x have explicit code points.
